Background & History
Suria Resorts Management Sdn Bhd was incorporated in May 2000 with a vision to be “the leading world-class hotel and resort chain of choice.” The company is presently managing two Best Western branded resorts in Malaysia, namely: Best Western Suria Cherating Beach Resort and Best Western Merang Suria Resort. A new hotel is scheduled to open in Johor Bahru middle April 2008.

Future Plans in the Pipeline
We will be opening a new hotel in Johor Bahru soon. Scheduled to open early June 2008, Suria City Hotel & Spa will have 155 rooms housed in two buildings situated in Jalan Bukit Meldrum, Johor Bahru. All rooms will be furnished with modern facilities. Suria City Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the city. The city’s major shopping centers are only a few minutes walk from the hotel. It is also just minutes away from the shopping paradise of Stulang Laut Duty Free Zone as well as the ferry services plying to Batam and Tanjung Pinang and the customs checkpoint.
Perched on the hillock and sitting at the tip of the city overlooking Singapore, the hotel offer a great view of the Johor Straits.
