Merang Suria Holiday Camp is a scintillating adventure community centre located at Merang, Setiu Terengganu. This unique destination captures all the essence of an ideal holiday-cum-team building camp offering challenging outdoor courses for management and skills training with various programmes, development levels and adventure activities that cultivate teamwork, discipline, social and physical endurance whilst incorporating fun during the entire programme.

Due to its ideal outback location, well thought-out training facilities, and proximity to breathtaking nature, the camp is able to provide a wide range of nature-based activities such as kayaking, fishing, jungle trekking, and many more alongside obstacle courses designed to stimulate the mind, challenge the body, and bring the best out of every participant. The camp’s location is also considered as the gateway to the famous Redang Island.

The holiday camp’s creative and offbeat accommodation options such as barracks, camps, and dormitories give an air of quasi-military authenticity unlike most other holiday locations and help instill togetherness amongst camp participants.

ACCOMMODATION FEATURES

At Merang Suria Holiday Camp, campers can choose from the following accommodation options:

• Dormitory – 7 units (min 8 – 10 pax)

All dorm units have:
Single bed, curtains, air conditioning, rubber mat, lockers, and cabinets

• Barracks – 18 single (9 each for men/women) storey
  (min 25 – 28 pax)
  (with single-decker bed and individual steel lockers)

• Camps  – Min 8-10 pax (with fan and camp bed)

General Information

• Accommodation is confirmed subject to one night’s deposit paid in advance
• Reservation is held up to 5pm only, unless otherwise advised
• Check-out time is at 12 noon and check-in time is at 3pm
• Group and convention rates are available on request

Merang Suria Holiday Camp provides the following obstacle courses, recreational activities, and facilities which also come with the necessary safety requirements to ensure the safety of every participant.

GETTING THERE

You can reach the camp by air and by road:

1. 7 hours journey by road from Kuala Lumpur
2. By air, just 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur and 25 minutes from Sultan Mahmud Shah, Kuala Terengganu Airport
3. 20 km from Kuala Terengganu
4. 35 km from Kuala Terengganu Town
5. 150 km from Kota Bharu
6. 210 km from Kuantan
7. 455 km from Kuala Lumpur

Car directions from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Terengganu:

• Take the East-Coast Highway to Kuantan, starting at the first toll Plaza Gombak. Follow the signboards that lead to Kuantan. When you reach Kuantan, head 50km Kemaman. From Kemaman, follow the signboard to Kuala Terengganu. The distance from Kemaman to Kuala Terengganu is about 130km.

Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Terengganu (approx. 455 km): 2 options - the coastal road or Jerangau Jabor
Highway 2:  KL (Gombak Toll) on Karak Highway and continue with East Coast Expressway to Kuantan exit.
Highway 3: Kuantan exit to Kuala Terengganu (Coastal road to Kemaman, Dungun and Kuala Terengganu) Distance of 223km

Highway 2:  KL (Gombak Toll) on Karak Highway and continue with East Coast Expressway to Kuantan exit. 
Highway 3: Kuantan exit to Bukit Besi (20+km) - turn left

Highway 14: Bukit Besi turn off to Dungun/Ajil (114km) - turn left
Highway 14: Dungun/Ajil to Ajil/Kuala Berang (42km) - turn right
Highway 14: Ajil to Kuala Terengganu (35km)

From Kuala Terengganu Town, drive to Kuala Terengganu Airport and follow the signboard to BANDAR PERMAISURI – BUKIT RAKIT – MERANG. Pass by BUKIT RAKIT. Turn right at the corner with a huge signboard that reads ‘Welcome to MERANG SURIA HOLIDAY CAMP’.
